Friday, April 3rd: Review Protein Synthesis

Hi 7th graders!  Remember this??  We spent several days before spring break learning about how a cell reads the "code" in DNA, sends the code to a ribosome, and makes a protein.

Today's goal is to review this process of Protein Synthesis.

Remember, proteins are SO IMPORTANT in cells because cells are made of proteins and proteins are the messages cells use to do all their jobs.  DNA holds the directions on how to make every single protein that your body needs in its special A,C,G,T code.

To review: you can choose to watch the video below or read the article about transcription and translation.  If you are able to do both, that's even better!

Practice: Review what you know by completing this review sheet.  Print it if you can.  If you can't print it you can write your answers on any sheet of paper and send them to me.

We will go over the answers together tomorrow!
